Muses (Grannies and wheels)

installation, sculpture
9 sculptures, hight 160 each, , 2007

These grannies are everywhere. With their trolleys they wander the streets, beg in subways, stand in lines, march in Communist rallies. They are our past. They are their own future. They are rubbish, debris, rusted steel. And at the same time they are an ancient choir. Reflecting in puddles as in the Lethe, they warn us about something. They are Muses. Yellow streetlights of memory, standing at crossroads of times.
